The Edit, Vol. 1

This is a series on my blog that I have wanted to do since January, but between a demanding day job, a busy travel schedule, and the pull of my FYP on TikTok, I had just never seemed to be able to make time for it. Until now!

I love shopping and really pride myself on surrounding myself with beautiful things — whether it be home decor, clothing, or even really functional items, like a weekly pill organizer. Some of my favorite people to follow online curate wonderful finds that I often find myself using as a resource when I’m in the market for something, and an in an effort to be writing the blog I’d want to read, I wanted to provide that same resource here on A Touch of Teal.

As such, on a monthly basis moving forward, I’ll be sharing ‘The Edit’ — a roundup of the products that have made their way into my shopping cart and into my home and closet. Ironically, in November, this series will be on hiatus as I am going to bring back my Holiday Gift Guides. The past three years, I’ve shared one big guide of my favorite things, but this year, I’m going to bring back multiple guides. I love pulling them together, and for the first time in a while, I have both the time and energy to commit to this project. If there’s anything you want to see in particular, please let me know!

So, without further fanfare, here’s the roundup of things I’ve been loving this month!

Classic Six Twiggy Dress — when I saw this dress, it was love at first sight. I absolutely love how classic this piece is, and the quality is unmatched. While it’s definitely on the pricier side for a dress, I know it will be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come!

Pearl Hoop Earrings — these days, I tend to gravitate towards classic, simple, understated jewelry. I love how this pair of earrings combines two of my favorite things: hoops and pearls. While I’ve shopped less and less at J Crew Factory over the years for clothes, their jewelry (and shoes!) remain a go-to for me.

Pink Pill Organizers — you might be in your 30s when you get unreasonably excited about a pill organizer, but these are just so cute! I use them to organize my daily vitamins and prescriptions and it’s really helped me to not forget a day.

5×7″ Foliage Frame — this frame is absolutely stunning. It would hold a wedding photo beautifully, or make a great gift for a close friend with a special memory tucked inside.

Gold Knotted Sandals — these shoes are super comfortable, and make every look so fun + festive. They would make the perfect shoe to wear as a guest at a wedding or any upcoming holiday parties.

Ruffle Edge Plates, Bowls & Snack Bowls — I love how simple and fun these everyday plates and bowls are; the pop of French blue just really makes them.

Studio McGee Glass Jar Candle — this candle smells great, but the real reason I purchased it was because I loved the look. It complements any interior design aesthetic and is a great candle to rest on top of a stack of books.

Faux Diamond Rose Gold Ring — if you’re unfamiliar, some of the best jewelry I own is from a brand called Pavoi that I discovered on Amazon a year or two ago. I purchased this ring from their brand and it’s stunning — it’s great for stacking or wearing alone. (And to avoid any confusion, I only wear this one on my right hand, hah!)

Pink Agate Coasters — I recently wanted to swap out the coasters on my coffee table for something new, and fell in love with these pink agate coasters. With the gold edging, they look very high end and add a nice pop of color.

Gold Hair Clips — my friend Erin wore one of these clips to happy hour, and I bought the set on the spot. They’re super cute and I love buying more trendy things from Amazon because you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get the look.

Colorful Folders — these folders are seriously the best! I got them to organize a ton of medical paperwork — #adulting — and ended up buying two sets. They are a lightweight plastic and very sturdy.

Palm Tree Candle Holders — these are one of my favorite finds as of late! They’re super well made and have a significant weight to them, making them feel more high end than they actually are. I want to get another set so I have six total for a dining room table one day.

Fuzzy Slippers — since I’ve worked from home, I’ve really upped my slipper game. These are ones I just purchased this fall and I am obsessed! They’re comfortable and I love that my feet don’t get too hot in them. I am a true size 7 and went with the 5-6 and they were plenty big, so I’d size down.

Leather Monogrammed Computer Envelope — I have a 16″ Macbook for work, so it rarely fits in computer cases carried by bigger brands. I found this monogrammed leather envelope on Etsy for it and am obsessed — the quality is amazing! I did the Caramel Saffiano.
