My Favorite Coffee Table Books — Organized by Color

I recently bought a bookshelf for my living room—I will be sure to share here on the blog once I’ve finished styling it! My inspiration is this color-coordinated bookshelf that Society Social put together — so needless to say, I’ve been in the market for colorful coffee table books.

I’ve long used coffee table books as decor throughout my home — whether on my actual coffee table, on dressers, on nightstands, on my desk. Books are a great way to bring color into a space, while also showing off your personality and passions. Plus, they’re low commitment, in that they are easy to move around and re-style on a whim. Whenever I feel like a room needs a refresh, one of the first things I’ll do is re-style all my coffee table books.

Because I have recently been on the aforementioned coffee table book buying bender, I wanted to share a roundup of my favorite coffee table books — organized by color. As I’ve been shopping in support of my color-coordinated bookshelf vision, I haven’t found many great resources where coffee table books are sorted by color, so I thought it would be helpful to create one. As I was pulling this post together, I made the editorial decision to organize the books below by what color their spine is — vs. what color their front cover is — and they quite often differ. Given my penchant for stacking books, it often matters more what color a book’s spine is when I am grouping books together.

I also made the decision to focus on highlighting coffee table books in the colors I use most often to decorate around my house — pink, blue, green, yellow, and white/neutrals. I tend to avoid reds, oranges, purples, and blacks—nothing against those colors, and there are plenty of coffee table books out there in those colors, I just wanted to focus on rounding up books I personally have and love.
