my grandmother was amazing at cross stitch – and I’m so lucky to have many pieces of her work in my collection 🪡 when I visited her this spring, she gave me these samplers she worked on the year I was born and I am excited to get them framed! she told me she really got into cross stitch to keep her hands and her mind busy when she was dealing with her divorce – and she also told me that she never wanted to be a bitter old lady because of it because “no one wants to be around bitter old ladies.” some of the best life advice I’ve ever gotten about keeping a positive attitude 🩷 thought it deserved a spot on the grid!
