Happy Wednesday, team!
Today is actually my 27th birthday! I’m celebrating tonight with my Mom and my sister, Jennifer, at a small wine bar in my neighborhood that has amazing food and, of course, a great wine selection. Then, this weekend, when my dad is back from his work trip to India, we’re hitting up RPM Italian, which is one of my favorite restaurants downtown. And, also this weekend, I’m having my all of my closest friends over to my place for a joint birthday/housewarming wine night—should be a good time! I know that getting older is a privilege denied to many, and I am so thankful for this last lap round around the sun. I am very excited to see what this next year has in store for me!
I wanted to continue my 2017 gift guides with stocking stuffers—these are (physically) small gifts you can actually put into a stocking or use as a standalone gift if you’re looking for something smaller—that’s not a generic gift card—for a coworker or a hostess this holiday season.
How cute are these Voluspa mini candles? I love the colors! You could give all five to one person or break up the set for a smaller gift for someone on your list. I would also pair this candle set with these antique bottled long fireplace matches—which are packaged so well that they’d be a great standalone gift, too!
I love the idea of giving a bobby pin kan and/or claw clip kan since both are super useful, but the packaging and colors of pins and clips are more elevated than your run-of-the-mill drugstore buy.
For a bit more of a splurge, this Gray Malin luggage tag would be a great identifier at baggage claim and is perfect for any vacation!
Who doesn’t love a good pair of socks in their stuffing? I love these faire isle socks—would be perfect for cozying up next to a fire!
When I was at Target this weekend, I spotted these beautiful Sugar Paper LA white and gold ornaments, which would be great in a stocking or as a bow on top of a wrapped gift. Like the candles, you could easily break these up to give to multiple people or gift someone the whole set.
This Hello Lovely pouch would be perfect as a travel makeup bag or a catch all for your gals on the go. In a similar vein, I love having a smaller card wallet on-hand for going out or when I’m traveling so I don’t have to lug my huge wallet everywhere.
This sea salt soap has great packaging and, at only $8, is a steal!
For something different than your typical grocery store candy, I love these sugarfina chocolate almonds that are designed to look like olives in a martini shaker. So fun!
If all else fails, you can never go wrong with a beautiful wine stopper or a cute set of cocktail napkins—I am obsessed with these flamingo ones!
Happy Birthday Katie! I hope you have a wonderful day today! I’m not far from 27 either! And being in my mid-late twenties freaks me out a bit mostly because of the expectations you set when you’re younger about where you want to be at certain ages. Trying to slowly get my mind out of my expectations and just live the best I can now 🙂
I also love your stocking stuffer picks! They’re all so elegant and beautiful – and I’d be so happy to get them in my stocking! Thank you for the ideas!
Thank you so much, Julie! Yes – you summed it up perfectly with your thoughts about expectations. I think we just have to show ourselves some grace! xoxo
The flock tail napkins are the cutest!! I haven’t been to your site since you revamped but it looks amazing, I’ve been the laziest blogger ever lately but I’m back at it 🙂

I was so excited when your page loaded and up came this gift guide!! I always love your gift guides! Those matches in the jar are just too cute and I’m obsessed with those mini candles. They are the perfect gift for a teacher or as a hostess gift!

Ugh, it’s so early but I really need to get a move on with my holiday shopping! I’m so excited that I now have an online boutique and can gift my friends and family lots of fun items from there 😉
