Last week, something amazing happened—it was 70-degrees in February in DC. #praisehands
I can’t tell you how nice it was to walk to work without a coat—heck, I even wore a dress one day without tights! I know that winter will probably be back with a vengeance, but it was nice to soak up a few unusually warm days while they were here.
The weather made me start thinking about my spring wardrobe, and y’all, now’s the time to buy. The prices are right and everything is stocked up in all sizes.
First, as mentioned previously, the weather this time of year is so unpredictable. I invested in this Banana Republic double-breasted trench coat two years ago, and it is worth every penny. It’s the perfect coat for both spring and fall, and it goes with everything.
But, of course, it’s more fun to shop for the dresses you’ll wear under those layers so I’ve rounded up my favorite picks under $100. I’m loving this J Crew Factory Polka Dot Dress for casual Fridays or weekend wear, this Cherry Blossom Romper for brunch, and this one-shoulder ruffle dress for April and May weddings. I also can’t get enough of this Navy Ruffle Top—how cute would it be with white jeans?!
A gal has to have accessories, too—these BP sunglasses are $12 and perfect for any weekend adventure. This Sole Society cross body is only $40, and the tassel detail is stunning. And, of course, can’t leave the house without shoes—these Sole Society Flamingo Espadrilles are so cute, as are these Sole Society Suede Wedges and these J Crew Factory Strappy Pointy-Toed Flats.
I’ve ordered a lot of these items and will be sharing what I think over on Instagram Stories in the coming weeks, so be sure to follow me there: @katieurban_.
I’d also love to know what’s been in your shopping carts as of late!
