Wheels up, y’all! Only four more days until takeoff for Park City!
You know how the week before vacation is pretty much the least relaxing time ever? That’s pretty much where I am at. My to-do list keeps growing, and the time to get everything done keeps shrinking! For one, my camera came back broken (still!) so I’ve been fighting with Geek Squad ever since. And my week is even busier than normal since I am at my alma mater, the University of Virginia, on a recruiting today. Though, I’ll never complain about a trip to Charlottesville, it definitely eats up a lot of time to shove a four-hour-roundtrip road trip in the mix.
But alas, I’m sure none of it will matter once we reach the Rockies!
Since I’ve never been skiing before, I really had to start from scratch with my ski wardrobe. Luckily, we already had some ski pants at my parent’s house, but I was seriously considering these snow pants from Lands End for a while since they also come in petite and are currently on sale! Since my big winter jacket is a puffer and therefore long, I scooped up this LL Bean Women’s Wildcat Jacket for the slopes.
To keep my extremities warm, a pair of gloves and ear-warming headband will do the trick. And you know I rarely leave the house without a pair of inexpensive sunglasses.
And for those times when we’re off the slopes and exploring the awesome food scene Park City has to offer, I’m thinking sweaters like this one, this one, or this one. You’ve seen the last one in this post! Isn’t it adorable?
Any last minute things I need to pack for my first ski trip? Holla at me in the comments below!
These are definitely must haves for a comfortable trip. I love the snow, I could live in it year around.
Ah! Well, whenever it snows here in DC, you can have mine! ;]
Great packing list! I especially love that jacket. I’ll be going to Park Slope this summer, so we won’t be skiing but I look forward to their fabulous food scene, as you mentioned! 🙂
YUM! I am so excited to eat my way through the city.
I am going skiing this weekend and was just thinking… “I hope I have everything”… so thanks for the post!
That was my thought as I was pulling together this post!
Such great picks! You’ll definitely want to layer for the slopes. It gets pretty warm up there! So excited for your trip, you’re going to love Park City!
Thanks so much for all the tips! xx
So jealous of your upcoming trip. Have fun! Love all your picks 🙂
Thanks C!
How fun! I absolutely love those sunglasses.
xoxo, Jenny
Thanks J! xx
I’m hoping to go on a ski trip next year, so I’ll definitely have to check out some of the stuff you mentioned!
Ah, I’ll definitely let you know how the trip went!
So exciting! I bet you can’t wait to get there! As a non-skiier myself, I’d probably spend most of my time with a cocktail by the fire ha ha! Love that fringe sweater and I can’t believe those sunglasses are only $12!! What a great find!
Taffeta & Tulips
Yes! Cocktail by the fire was the place I loved to be :]
