So, I Started An Esty Shop

Happy Monday, y’all!

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. I wanted to pop in and let you guys know about a side project I’ve been working on lately—an Etsy Shop called Scott Street Paper

Let me back it up a bit—I was lucky enough to learn the Adobe Creative Suite in high school and use it throughout college at the school paper. Now, I am still expanding on my knowledge of design through projects at my day job. Over the past several years, I’ve been asked by close friends and family members to design stationery and/or collateral for weddings, resumes, and one-off pieces for side hustles. (You can see some of those projects in this post.)

I love taking on these custom projects because they are a fun way to use my time and talents to help with a big moment in someone’s life. And, to be candid, they are also a good way for me to make a little extra cash on the side. So, I wanted to bring more clients custom design at an affordable price and thought an Etsy Shop was the best way to accomplish those goals. I am so excited to be sharing it with you today!

I am still working on adding listings and figuring out all the nuances of running an Etsy shop, but I’d love for you to check it out and provide any feedback you may have. Added bonus—use the code atouchofteal for 25% off between now and June 1.

And if you’re working on a project, but don’t see anything that fits your needs listed on the shop, please feel free to email me—katie@atouchofteal.com. I am happy to help with:

  • resumes
  • media kits
  • custom design projects
  • blog collages
  • business stationery
  • party decor—table tents, water bottle labels, signage, etc.
  • anything other design needs you may have

Lastly, don’t worry—I have no plans to quit blogging :]. I’ll see y’all back here tomorrow for regularly scheduled programming!

Your shop looks awesome! Congrats! I started on Etsy in 2015, selling like yourself, digital designs for weddings but also some wedding decor. I would suggest getting into the instant download world as well because it’s essentially passive income. As well, consider starting a facebook page. I do 70% of my business on Facebook with local brides that I advertise to in local wedding facebook groups. Just a couple ideas for you to consider. These days I am trying to branch away from physical decor into strictly digital designs and trying to do some non-wedding related designs. It’s so much fun having your own side business and creating new things. All the best to you in your new venture, I am sure it will be fabulous!
