Happy Monday! What better day of the week than today to talk about workwear?
Now that it’s consistently warm outside, I’ve swapped my closet, bringing all my spring and summer clothes to the front. As a result I feel like my wardrobe is refreshed—all without me spending a dime—since I’m discovering all my old favorites, including this Project Gravitas Clara Dress I picked up on my trip to their headquarters last fall.
This faux crop top dress is definitely one of the more expensive pieces in my wardrobe, but let me tell you, it is worth every penny. In addition to being a shape that flatters nearly every body type, there is shapewear built into the dress.
You read that right. THERE. IS. BUILT. IN. SHAPEWEAR. Talk about redefining a power suit.
While I’m no stranger to wearing all-black to work, in the spring I definitely like to pair a bright colored statement necklace with this dress to keep things fun and bright.
And y’all know how much I love my nude high-heel sandals from J Crew Factory that when they released a black version of the same shoe, I jumped at the chance to buy them. While they are definitely appropriate for my office since we’re on the more casual end, these sandals would be perfect for wedding season since the heel is low enough you can walk in them all day.
Though I will say, whoever invited cobblestone and brick sidewalks like the ones in Old Town Alexandria where these photos were taken was definitely a man ;].
