One Year

It’s crazy how far you can come in a year.

I know, because a year ago today I wrote my first post and began the journey of carving out this little spot and community on the Internet.

When I started out, I really had no idea what this would become. I had no idea I’d work with sponsors, meet some awesome DC blogger babes, feel comfortable enough take outfit pictures regularly, or spend so. much. free. time. on this ‘passion project.’

And yet, I hope, this is only the beginning.

While on one hand it seems like not much in my life has changed in the past year—I still work at the same job, live in the same apartment, and have the same friends—on the other, it seems like everything has changed.

Blogging has stretched me in so many great ways. I would have never been as serious about taking up photography as a hobby or had half the networking practice if I didn’t follow through on my desire to start.

And I definitely wouldn’t have gone through as many bottles of wine. That’s what I am telling myself, anyway.

I can’t wait to see where the next year takes me and A Touch of Teal—and it will probably be to places I couldn’t even begin to predict now.

But even though I am marking this passage of time and talking a lot about my journey, I really would not be here without all of your support.

So whether you’re a new reader, one that’s been here since the beginning, someone I’ve known for years, someone I’ve known for a little while, a friend I’ve met through blogging, or a brand I’ve partnered with, thank you so much for your continued support. xo
