Happy Tuesday! Did everyone’s weeks get off to a good start after the weekend?
One of my favorite Monday rituals is to go to spin class after work at Ryde DC. One of my favorite instructors, Alyssa, does a Monday motivation ride and it is so much fun! Plus, now I’ve made friends with all the other regular riders in the class and so it’s fun to catch up on everyone’s weekends. If I miss my Monday workout class, I feel “off” the rest of the week—it’s such a great way to reset and get the new week started on the right foot. #NeverMissAMonday
This past weekend was a good one—I was able to spend a lot of time at home, which I was so craving. I ended up doing a chick flick marathon of sorts, and watched Uptown Girls, Raising Helen, Stepmom, and Fever Pitch. They really don’t make rom coms like they used to in the early 2000s anymore!
On Saturday night, I took a break from my binge watching to celebrate my mom’s birthday and Mother’s Day! My whole family went down to Old Town Alexandria for a golden hour walk on the water, followed by a happy hour at O’Connells, and a delicious Italian dinner at Il Porto. My mom is the best mom, and I am so grateful she is mine and that we got to celebrate her!
While we were walking the Potomac River waterfront, my sister snapped a few photos for me because I wanted to tell you guys about this Old Navy relaxed off-the-shoulder swing top you need to add to your closet as soon as possible.
The first time I saw this top was actually on my sister in New Orleans. We were getting ready to go out on Bourbon Street, and she had a floral version from last spring’s collection on—it was so cute! When she saw what I was wearing, she jokingly told me to wear something “less business casual,” so when I saw Old Navy brought the same cut of the top back this season, I happily obliged.
What I especially love about this top is that it mimics that cute off-the-shoulder look that’s very trendy right now, but also provides the added bonus of adjustable straps—#win! That means no adjusting the off-shoulder sleeves or worrying about them riding up or down too much. It’s the perfect cross between an OTS top and a flirty cami.
I love a good solid colored top for going out or weekend dinners, so I picked it up in black, but it’s also available in a pretty pink floral or black floral if that’s more your thing. I’m always in between sizes at Old Navy tops, but opted for the large on this one since the medium was just a tad too short for my preference.
At under $30, this is the perfect top to snag before any MDW trips or summer vacations coming up—I can’t recommend it enough!

I really like this top. I wonder how the one your sister had looked like, is it one of those below your video? It is very true that they don’t produce rom coms as good as 2 decades ago (sounds weird that year 2000 was such a long time ago). I can watch all the movies from that time several times and new ones are just never as good.

Thank you! My sister’s top looked really similar — jsust white florals. Mid-2000s rom coms are the best.
Such a great top! You can wear it to so many occasions.
Old Navy is just one of the best places to shop. Their clothes are always priced really well, and the aren’t cheapy made.
Yes! I could not agree more. They also have great workout clothes!
