Considering that this is my second outfit post in a row featuring a maxi dress, I think it should come as no surprise that I am loving maxi dresses this summer. I picked up this Old Navy one before my trip to Charleston when I saw it on my friend on my friend Gentry and immediately assumed it was from some super chic boutique at a much higher price tag. When she mentioned it was from Old Navy and under $40, I went online and bought one right away.
Unfortunately, this exact maxi is currently sold out—but definitely keep checking back because they’ve been restocking it like crazy for the past couple of weeks. This beautiful Florida-inspired orange blossom pattern is available in a few other styles though! Check out this sleeveless dress or this tiered cami dress, both of which are under $30—and you can see all the items in this print here.
I’ve also linked to a few of my favorite Old Navy maxi dresses below—this one and this one are the exact same cut as the one I’m wearing. For size reference, I usually wear a medium in Old Navy dresses and bought a medium in this maxi. I considered buying the petite length, but am so glad I didn’t, since the regular medium hits at just the right place—I think the petite might have been too short! For reference, I am 5’4″, so if you’re on the taller side, definitely opt for the tall length.
I’m heading to the vineyards this weekend with my cousins, and definitely plan on wearing this maxi! It’s surprisingly cool despite being long—I know, because I wore it one full day in the Charleston heat!
In other news, can I make a motion to have the entire July 4th week a holiday in the future?! I am so grateful I had the day off to celebrate this great country of ours, but it being on a Wednesday threw my entire week out of sync!
Despite the craziness, I still managed to have a somewhat productive week—I toured an apartment in DC on Tuesday that I am really excited about. I don’t want to say anything to jinx it, but keep your fingers crossed! I sent in my notice to vacate to my current landlord, so my search is now in full swing. While I have absolutely loved living in this little Ballston apartment alone, and it was the best first place to truly call my own, I am excited to move onto something more in the center of the action. I’m also shooting my long awaited full apartment tour later this month with a photographer I really admire—I can’t wait to share it with you all.
I hope everyone is having a nice holiday week—cheers to the US of A! x

They really do – especially if you’re willing to dig a little bit. And thank you so much – housing is always so stressful, and it will definitely be a relief once it’s wrapped up!
Appealing wear, Katie!
The design looks awesome 🙂 xoxo
Thank you so much! x
