Hey, there friends—how’s it going?
I hope that wherever you are, it’s warmer than when I shot this look this weekend! Bree and I met up this weekend and I don’t think I really understood how cold it actually was outside. I thought it’d be a mild 55, I’d be a little chilly, and we’d go on with our day not worse for the wear. Within two seconds of stepping outside, the wind was whipping and I realized even in the sun, the thermometer wasn’t going to get above 35 degrees. So let’s just say, I look forward to the day when I can actually wear this Mint Julep Boutique off-the-shoulder top.
Now, I didn’t go freeze outside to shoot this look for nothing—I wanted to shoot it because I’m afraid it’s going to sell out soon and I wanted y’all to be able to snag it in case you want it! Plus, I don’t know about you, but I’m really only buying spring clothes right now, so as much as I love my big, warm puffer jacket, something tells me that’s not want you want to see right now, with spring solidly on the horizon.
My only regret about freezing outside for half an hour this past weekend is that I wasn’t able to get my hair to cooperate for more than the three photos in this post ;]. Seriously, the wind was out of control. I considered even re-shooting this look on a warmer day so I could show you the awesome side-tie sleeve detail—which you can kind of see in the picture below—but again, wanted to make sure you could snag this beauty before it’s gone.
I find this shirt to run very true-to-size, and if you’ve followed along for a while, you know how much I love The Mint Julep Boutique. (You can see past looks I’ve worn by them here and here.) While this post isn’t sponsored—I bought this top with my own money—I do want to say how much I love buying clothes from them. The prices are right, the shipping is fast, and the pieces are really cute. Added bonus—they only stock so many of each piece so you don’t have to worry about showing up to brunch or a bridal shower and someone else having the same outfit on.
I also want to bring your attention to these J Crew Factory Strappy Pointy-Toe Flats. I bought them a couple of weeks ago and LOVE them. Usually, it takes me a few wears to break in J Crew Factory flats, but these were comfortable on the first wear. They run true to size and also come in a dark gray. Definitely will be a shoe staple this spring!
