I recently got a new headboard in my room and as such, my beloved travel posters no longer work on the wall. The solution? A brand new gallery wall.
While I love the wall I put together in my dining room earlier this year, I really want to take my time and curate fun pieces that really look cohesive together. I am not sure what my finished look will be, but I have been collecting some inspiration on Pinterest to inform my vision. (And I will definitely be framing everything through Framebridge since they do such great custom work in my price point!)
But the one piece I knew I had to have for this new gallery wall project? Meg Carn’s Frolicking Flamingos print. (I mean, so cute right?!)
I’ve loved following Meg on Instagram for a while now and really enjoy all the bright colors she uses. Right now her main focus is animals, though she has been known to paint a pineapple or two. You can check out all of her work over on her website, and please advise me on which one of her gorgeous prints I should bring home next. I definitely need another one for this gallery wall.
So until this beautiful print is hanging on my gallery wall, I thought it’d be a fun compliment when serving up one of my go-to favorite summer drinks.
Prior to now, this drink didn’t have a name other than “the pink drink,” but now I’m thinking it’s only appropriate to call it the frolicking flamingo. What do y’all think about that?
Luckily, the Frolicking Flamingo embodies summer—it’s no fuss, and a lot of fun.

– 4 oz (1 parts) peach schnapps
– 4 oz (1 part) vodka

That little white serving tray/chevron glass combo is too cute. You are making me think I need to step up my home decorations 🙂
Aw thanks Charlotte! Next HH we can definitely use the tray :] I am sure your home is gorge! xx
I think Frolicking Flamingo is absolutely the perfect name! I love the print (and the glassware too). The headboard you chose is gorgeous! We DIY’d ours with stained wood planks and I love it but I’ve always wanted a tufted/upholstered bed too.
Aw thanks Miranda! The headboard you described sounds equally gorgeous!
So cute! I love how bright and summery it is. I’m kind of over flamingos (living in FL for 26 years will do that to a person) but I do love the bright cheerful colors.
Aw yeah, I am sure if I lived in FL, I would be over them, too!
It looks like an expensive hotel room. Great work! 🙂
Aw thanks! What a compliment!
The frolicking flamingo, I love it! It sounds SUPER summery! 🙂
PS just think of the blogger party we could have, you can be in charge of drinks and I’ll do apps! Someday, haha.
I would love that! One day.. xx
The photos are beautiful. Every home needs a splash of color and this is a delightful way to add it!
Aw thanks!
