The Holiday Skirt You Need In Your Closet

It is officially the most wonderful time of the year!

Not sure about you ladies, but I spent my weekend alternating between Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (OH. MY. GAWD. THAT. ENDING.) and decking the halls. I forgot how festive the apartment feels at night with the evergreen scented candle burning, the Christmas tree lit, and ornaments filling our usual vases. I love this time of year, and am especially excited to GRADUATE in the middle of it all so I can take full advantage of the parties for hosting/marshmallows for toasting/caroling out in the snow.

Speaking of those parties for hosting—if your calendar over the next few months is anything like mine, it’s jam packed. So to save you from standing in front of your closet hours a holiday fete wondering what you’re going to wear that’s festive and warm—we’ve all been there—I wanted to tell you about the skirt you need in your closet this December: the Krimson Klover Early Harvest Skirt.

Y’all. This skirt not only has the cutest red, white, and black Fair Isle pattern—which means it’s perfect for the holidays, but easily pairs with all the neutrals you already own. Made from 100% merino wool, it is the softest and warmest skirt I own. Not to mention, it’s got a little bit of stretch, which is perfect for those cocktail parties where you find yourself at the appetizer trays and/or the cocktail station.

(Added holiday bonus from Krimson Klover to you: use the code KKATOUCHOFTEAL through December 31, 2016 for 30% off! #gettheskirt)

For those of you that don’t know, Krimson Klover is a Boulder-based boutique that makes some of the cutest winter clothes around. Seriously—if y’all are hitting the slopes this winter, their sweaters and skirts (hello, obviously) work great for the lodge, and their ski gear has me wishing I knew about them before I headed off to Park City last March.

Krimson Klover pieces aren’t your grandmas knits, and they certainly aren’t the bulky warm-weather pieces you get at sporting goods stores. Instead, Krimson Klover’s clothes will keep you warm while you’re running between your Uber and a holiday party or heading to Main Street in a ski town, but simultaneously keep you chic and on-trend, which is such a hard combo to find!

(Pro tip—that 30% off code I mentioned earlier works site-wide!)

For added warmth, I paired my Early Harvest Skirt with my all-time favorite Hue Sweater Tights. I swear by these from late November to early March and pair them with every skirt and dress in my wardrobe. They wash super well and don’t easily get runs like normal tights. Added bonus—they are super comfortable, and feel more like leggings than traditional panty hose. Definitely grab yourself a pair of these before the sell out for the season—which they always do!

To finish off the look, I opted for the Bell Sleeve Ruffle Hem Blouse I’ve been raving to y’all about and my standby BP Trolley Booties in Black, which haven’t failed me yet.

Warm, festive, and comfortable? Now that’s something I’ll raise my glass to at a holiday party. Cheers! x
