It’s official: summer clothes are here to stay!
I love the time of year when you do not have to check the weather before getting dressed in the morning. It’s either hot or cold, so you can pretty much nail your outfit without thinking. The biggest glitch Mother Nature can throw your way is some precipitation.
A warm weather fan at heart, I absolutely loved soaking up the sun this weekend with my friend Emma who was in town visiting from New York City. We essentially hopped from one DMV waterfront to the next—more on our adventures next week!—and didn’t go too long between cold ones.
And, of course, we had to hit up the amazing Memorial Day sales.
Known for their sales, the one this past weekend was particularly good because the clearance rack was a jackpot. 40% off already-on-sale items? I’ll take it.
In addition to this white clutch—so appropriate for the first weekend of summer!—I picked up this Bombay blue strappy cami, perfect for the hot, humid days ahead. Emma snagged one, too, and we both think it will be super versatile this summer.
Paired with my go-to summer pencil skirt here, I could easily throw a cardigan over the look for the office and lose it later for drinks with the girls. For a more casual look on weekends, it’d pair up great with white shorts or pants. Emma styled hers with a yellow skirt that looked ah-mazing if color is more your thing.
No matter how you style it, you can’t go wrong—this is not your high school cami.
