It’s no secret I love to travel, so this gift guide was especially fun for me to put together.
As we’re nearing the close of 2017, I’ve been reflecting a lot on all the places I’ve been lucky enough to visit this year and planning what my 2018 travel schedule will look like. Since I had so many back-to-back trips this year, I felt like I became an expert at packing the night before—or sometimes morning of– a trip. While I used to be an over-packer, and am still probably guilty of always packing at least four pairs of shoes, I’ve become much more savvy about what I bring with me on the road.
So, today, I’ve rounded up some of my all-time favorite products that I use to help plan my adventures or rely on when I’m away from home. Hopefully, these gift ideas will help you shop for any jetsetter in your life!
When it comes to travel, planning is the first step. I love this 36 Hours in the USA and Canada reference book published by the NYT. It dedicates two to three pages on each city and gives you the lowdown on where to eat, what to see, and what to do. The internet sometimes has a too much information on a destination, so it’s nice to have less, but more reliable, information to start. I also think Hitha’s new book, How to Pack, is a practical and pretty gift option for travel prep.
For packing, how cute is this Sole Society Vegan Weekender? At under $100, it looks significantly more expensive than it is and would be a great gift for someone special. If you’re looking to spend less, these luggage tags are adorable, this travel brush set is a space-saver and makes for easy packing, and this travel jewelry case has saved me multiple times from tangled jewelry.
For the trip, I am obsessed with this Cozy Chic Circle Cardigan. It’s definitely on the pricey side—I picked mine up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale—but it is worth every penny and now I hate to fly without it. I also never leave for a trip without my Kindle. It saves me from lugging around a ton of books, and I can always borrow one from my library or snag one from Amazon if I finish more than expected—all without leaving the beach!
These Bose earphones are an upgrade to the classic Apple earbuds. This mini-card purse is great for travel so you don’t run the risk of losing your full wallet when you need it most.
This Laundress Delicate Wash and Laundress Fabric Fresh Spray would be a thoughtful gift for a friend with an extended trip coming up so she can avoid those pricey hotel laundry fees.
Lastly, how beautiful is this travel journal? This would be so fun for a friend with an extra-special adventure coming up in 2018.
That cardigan looks SO cozy! I’m always freezing on the plane. Great travel picks!
