Classic Moscow Mules

Happy hump day, y’all!

Anyone else love a classic Moscow mule? I discovered these at one of my favorite happy hour places, Lyon Hall, a few years ago and have never looked back.

Needless to say, I was so happy to discover these are so easy to make at home. The hardest part is probably finding ginger beer. It’s definitely becoming more mainstream now, but if you’re having a hard time sourcing it from your local grocery store, I’d recommend trying Trader Joes or World Market. I can always seem to find it at one of those two places!

So without further ado, here’s a classic Moscow mule recipe for your midweek treat!

Ingredients / Serves 2

  • 3 ounces vodka (two standard shot glasses)
  • 16 ounces ginger beer
  • 4 tablespoons lime juice
  • lime to garnish
  • ice

Directions

  1. Chill vodka and ginger beer 4-6 hours prior to serving.
  2. Measure vodka and lime juice and pour into copper mugs.
  3. Top off with ginger beer, ice, and a fresh lime to garnish.
  4. Enjoy!

I pinned this to try later! I’ve always wanted to make these (if only for the super elegant drink ware!) I’m obsessed with copper.

Not going to lie, I want to make these so I can buy the cups! They are just so cute. But back to the drinks! Lately, I’ve been experimenting with the Gin Gin Mule (The Moscow Mule’s relative) and I’ve been loving it so I can’t wait to try the true blue original.
