✌🏻years ago in New Orleans on one of the best trips ever 💓 In all my years of worrying, I never once thought to worry about a pandemic. I worried about everything from trivial things to terrorist attacks, but never once did I think about how a virus could sweep through our society and change life as we know it. Just goes to show you how worrying isn’t a productive pastime; it’s like that phrase, “worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do, but doesn’t get you anywhere.” Been thinking about that phrase a lot lately. ☀️ Looking forward to a less worried life and sunnier days ahead.

Trying really hard to bloom where I am planted these days 🌷 Today was a good one though—was asked to speak on a panel about social media and community by my favorite grad school professor and got to share all about how I met some of my best friends on the Internet and am now indulging in the best tater tots for dinner. It’s all downhill from here y’all! 🥂

Hey Alexa, play Work from Home by Fifth Harmony ☀️ This is the morning light in my new “office,” and it’s probably one of my favorite things about my new wfh life. (I also love that I’m not at the mercy of automatic blinds.) I did end up buying a “desk” this weekend—it’s basically a glorified TV tray and it arrives Thursday, but I think it’ll be nice to have a dedicated work space that I can fold up at the end of the day and hide in my linen closet. Other than discovering the “touch up my appearance” feature on Zoom, I think it’s upcoming arrival might be the highlight of my work week! 💓 I know I am so, so lucky right now, as I can work from home and am healthy, but this experience definitely is affirming to me I could never work from home long term—I love going into the office and being with my team too much! Here’s to hoping we can be at a six foot conference table, instead of six feet apart, soon 🤞🏻
