Who else is watching the women’s gymnastics team finals? I’m always and forever for team USA, no matter the medal color! 🇺🇸💙 I think my favorite performance so far is Suni on uneven bars—she killed it. Last night, I mixed it up for a Monday and finally checked out @barca_alx in Old Town Alexandria! Located right on the Potomac River, it lived up to the hype! We enjoyed some amazing Spanish tapas for dinner—and a few more glasses of brut rosé than planned since we got caught in a summer thunderstorm. About last night ✨ started with pre-dinner cocktails at @morrisamericanbar and ended with delicious Italian food at @sanlorenzodc 🍝 (Whatever you do, get the tuna tartare if it’s one of the specials! More on what we ordered in Stories!) My friend @rachelostroff was in town from LA and it was so good to catch-up; we met as interns at Condé Nast nine summers ago and have stayed in touch ever since. #clubcondé PS—I rarely shoot with my DSLR anymore because iPhone cameras are so good. I can’t recommend the Lightroom app enough—it’s so easy to use on-the-go and it’s free! I also pay monthly for the desktop version because it’s easier to use when I’m editing a ton of photos. Here’s how I’ve been editing my photos lately to get the bright, airy, colorful look I like! Also I’ll note, these steps depend somewhat on the original shot:
- Exposure: +0.8-.0.9
- Highlights: +15-20
- Shadows: +10-15
- Whites: +20-30
- Blacks: +10-15
- Vibrance: +25-30
- If needed: I’ll bump down the saturation of a certain color—e.g. green in photos from my walks
