Since I’ve been chatting your ears off all week about this cookie decorating party Monica and Libby hosted this weekend, I figured it was only appropriate to share some pictures with you from the event.
Y’all, let me just say, this was one of the most Instagrammable events I’ve ever been to! Monica and Libby really went above and beyond for their cookie decorating party so that all of us in attendance could enjoy a low key Sunday afternoon of icing/sprinkle eating to some tried-and-true Christmas tunes.
The event took place at the Karson Butler Events studio in Capitol Hill, and based on their working space alone, I wanted to hire them on the spot to do my wedding. (Groom and date, TBD, of course.) Situated in an historic row home, the space was perfectly configured for this event, with a room for the bubbly bar and savory apps and a room large enough for tables to decorate our cookies on!
Keep scrolling for the picture overload—and to see why I’m not quitting my day job anytime soon to become a cookie decorator ;].
Truly Spiked & Sparkling is a new-to-me brand that provided delicious alcoholic sparkling beverages for the event. Think La Croix, but with alcohol. The Pomegranate flavor was so festive and the lime was so refreshing. If you’re looking for a lighter beverage that still packs a punch, definitely try these out.
How cute are these place settings that Monica and Libby set up for us? Wayfair provided the cookie cutters and Monica’s friend did the calligraphy on the name tags. Proof it’s always in the details at events like these!
I seriously cannot emphasize how cute the Karson Butler Events studio was. I want a chalkboard wall in my house now so I can create fun wall murals like this one.
No event is complete without a bubbly bar, and how cute is that “Get Lit” wreath that Libby made specially for the event?! She also made the ornament and twinkle light display on the white wall below. Talk about a backdrop! #swoon
Of course, no cookie decorating party is complete without the actual cookies! Monica and Libby provided delicious sugar cookies in fun shapes—there was even an ugly holiday sweater one. We had red, green, and white icing and Fancy Flours and Sweets Indeed provided so many fun sprinkles for us to be creative with.
When we were all done, there were gold boxes and plenty of fun ribbon for us to wrap our creations up in.
Just when it couldn’t get any better, Monica and Libby sent us off with some awesome party favors, including beautiful Vera Bradley notebooks, a delicious-smelling candle from Northern Lights, a festive holiday red nail polish from Zoya, a beautiful 2017 calendar from Serena Martin Design, and eye masks from Rodan and Fields.
Seriously, y’all, Monica and Libby nailed every last detail! So honored to be included in this wonderfully festive event! Thanks again, ladies! x
