I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! My Thanksgiving was really fun this year—I went home to Fairfax on Wednesday night, and went out for dinner and drinks with my good friend who I never see anymore since she lives in the Midwest. On Thanksgiving Day, my family kicked things off by doing an Orangetheory class together. We’re all members, but have never done a class together before. It was so much fun, and such a healthy way to kick off the day. Later in the day, we went over to my Uncle Bruce’s house for the annual Urban family get together. There were nearly 30 of us in attendance this year—the oldest guest was 94 and the youngest was four months! I am so thankful for both my immediate and extended family and so glad everyone makes it a priority to attend our gathering every year.
Today, my sisters and I went to the Kennedy Center and saw Anastasia, the Broadway Show. I love The Kennedy Center—it’s such a beautiful building and a powerful tribute to the arts. The show itself was amazing—I thought the set design was so creative, I loved the music, and I was obsessed with the costumes. It was a slightly different plot than the animated movie, but I was glad I had that background going into it!
This is probably the latest I’ve ever gotten a Black Friday sales post up, but I was off enjoying the holiday with my family and haven’t had a chance to sit down and pull everything together until now. Plus, you really don’t need me to tell you about the good sales when pretty much every place has a sale going on! (My usual favorites are LOFT, J Crew Factory, Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, Express, and Old Navy if you want to know where I’m loading up my cart today!)
As such, I thought I’d highlight a few stores that almost never have sales so you can take advantage of this shopping opportunity! I’ll add more sales as I come across them, now through Monday!
+ Love Wellness Co—Lo Bosworth from The Hills founded this wellness company for women, and their products are amazing! I really like the Bye Bye Bloat and Good Girl Probiotics set. The whole site is 25% off through Monday (no code needed!) so if you’ve been wanting to try these products, now is the time!
+ Mark & Graham—I love Mark & Graham for personalized gifts and think they are an especially great place to shop for all the men in your life—I love this wallet and this commuter 2-in-1 garment bag. Enjoy 20% and free shipping with the code FRIENDS.
+ Inslee—It’s no secret that Inslee is one of my favorite artists of all time (as evidenced here!) and her work would make the perfect gift under any tree. Use the code OPHIE for 20% through Monday! And, if you don’t follow Inslee on Instagram, get on that STAT!
+ Sephora—I am not impressed with their sale overall, but did want to call out this NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil Duo since you get two great colors (I went for the Cruella + Dolce Vita combo) for the price of one normal lipstick! You can see all their $15 Black Friday deals here.
+ Cuyana—I love Cuyana’s products so much, and really appreciate their motto—fewer, better things. They aren’t running a sale this year, but 10% of their proceeds are going to the victims of the California Wildfires, which is a great reason to shop there this weekend!
+ Scout Bags—Monica gave me my first Scout Bag for my birthday—it was one of their coolers!—and I am so excited to use it. Now would be a great time to stock up on cute wine bags to gift throughout the season. Use code BRIGHTFRIDAY for 25% off and free shipping.
+ LL Bean—If you’ve been wanting a pair of Bean Boots, now is the time! Use the code BOOTS25 for 25% off. I recently purchased a tartan-lined pair that’s sadly sold out, but this 8″ pair is a classic that will serve you for years to come.
+ 42 Pressed—One of my favorite graphic design shops also has a store and they never run sales! Today only you can get 25% off site-wide with the code 42RAINBOWFRIDAY. I love their city maps, and have the Charleston, NYC, and DC ones!
+ Gray Malin—My favorite photographer’s work never goes on sale, but today you can snag 30% off with the code TURKEY30. I love his Beverly Hills Hotel series.
+ Society Social—One of my favorite shops for home decor, Society Social only runs a sale once a year! Take advantage of the sales here, prices are marked. They are famous for their bar carts, which are marked down to $550!
+ Tuckernuck—This is one of my favorite places to shop for clothes and accessories. Everything on their site is currently 20% off with the code GOWILD. Spend $500+ for 25% off and $1,000 for 30% off. There are so many cute holiday looks in the newly added section of the site. They also carry my favorite monogrammed weekender, which would be perfect for anyone in the family.
+ Baublebar—My favorite place to shop for jewelry is having a killer sale today. Everything is 30% off, no code needed! Their Contessa Tassel Earrings are my favorite right now, and I have them in two colors, white and red.
+ Ullo—I mentioned in this gift guide that the Ullo Wine Purifier removes sulfites from wine so that you don’t get those annoying wine headaches! It’s $16 off today with no code needed.
+ Candlefish—My all time favorite candles are 25% off today with the code BlackFriyay! (You can read all about the candle making class I took with them here.) I love #3, #4, #12, and #49.
+ Cosmedix—One of my favorite dermatologist recommended skincare brands is on-sale for 30% off with the code FRIYAY. Their Affirm Serum has been a part of my nighttime routine for years!
+ Contracts for Creatives—My friend Ashlee is an attorney for creatives and is running a sale on her contract templates now through Monday! Use the code CYBER30 at checkout. She has great standard templates for bloggers, graphic designers, photographers, wedding planners, event planners, and creatives.
I don’t usually do too much black friday shopping, but this year I stocked up on anthro candles for 30% off! will definitely check out bauble bar too, thanks for the tip!
Ah, anthropologists candles are the best – glad you were able to stock up!
