Happy Friday, friends! We made it to the first weekend of 2018.

Today, I wanted to share the best thing I bought in 2017 with you! I’ve been seeing a lot of these posts pop up this week, and they are some of my favorite to read. Last year, I shared that my Sonix’s iPhone case was the best thing I purchased all year—and 365 days later, I’m still a loyalist and won’t buy any other cases! If I had written a similar post in 2015, I would have said that my Kindle Paperwhite was the best thing I bought.

This year, my best purchase is less technological, but practical nonetheless—it’s the Madewell Prague Satchel. And, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll notice it has made quite a few appearances since I purchased it in March.

At this point, I’m sure you’re starting to wonder if I own other bags. I do, but this Madewell Prague Satchel is by far my favorite. On the days I workout after work, I take a lululemon gym bag, but on the days I’m heading to happy hour or a networking event and on the weekends, this is the bag I use. It goes with everything, fits all my stuff—even my DSLR camera!, and also works as a crossbody when I need both hands. It ended up in many of these outfits not because I planned it that way, but because that was just the bag I had on hand that day!

If you’re looking for a great, everyday bag, I can’t recommend the Madewell Prague Satchel. And, FYI, it’s usually included in Madewell’s sales—I snagged mine when it was 30% off!

A close second item were these Mya Drop earrings from Baublebar. Seen plenty of times above, too, these are by far my favorite earrings. I love that they add such a statement and go with everything! I always get compliments on them, and for under $40, you can’t beat the price.
