Best Holiday Pajamas for Christmas Eve

When my sister and I were younger, we were allowed to open one present on Christmas Eve before bed. Can you guess what we got?

…pajamas! (I know we’re not the only 90s kids with matching holiday nightgowns getting a Barbie Jeep on Christmas morning.) Though this tradition of matching pajamas eventually faded into leggings and long-sleeved college t-shirts, last year, we decided to pick up some matching Old Navy leggings and henleys for under $25 and bring it back.

We had so much fun taking group selfies in our “Christmas jammies” last year—selfie stick and all—that we’re going in for round two this year. So, I’ve rounded up a few of the best holiday pajamas for Christmas Eve for you. We did jokingly consider these elf onesies for a hot second, but opted for the much more subdued, red and white thermal holiday patterned pajamas. Like holiday party dresses, I’ve found that holiday pajamas seem to sell out on the earlier side, especially the aforementioned Old Navy selection since they are always on super sale on Black Friday, so now’s the time to shop around! Plus, now that it’s getting colder, might as well treat yourself to some extra-festive pjs to ride out the long winter ahead in.

If you’ve found any cute holiday pajamas or have a similar tradition, I’d love to hear about it! And if you have a family, or a family of adults willing to go all out, definitely check out the Target holiday pajama family sets. How cute are these bear family pajamas? And, if you’re into embracing themes,  the Elf Family or Nutcracker Family could be for you.

I’ve heard of so many families that do the same thing! We were never allowed haha my siblings and I still have to wait at the top of the stairs Christmas day! I was just thinking about getting Christmas pajamas to wear while watching Elf – definitely need to check out your picks!
