Apple Cider Sangria

Happy Wine Wednesday, ladies!

A few weeks ago I went to Screwtop Wine Bar with my good friend Jackie before she headed off to New York City to start her new career as a boss b!tch lawyer. And my favorite wine bar in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington didn’t disappoint: they had apple cider sangria on the happy hour menu for $5. Even though it was a Monday, I may have had more than one more than two, and decided on my walk home I needed to recreate this delicious fall drink for y’all stat.

There was no better time than to whip up a copycat pitcher of Screwtop’s apple cider sangria than this past weekend when my oldest friend invited me over for dinner. She made chicken, apples, and sweet potatoes in the crockpot—a delicious autumnal dinner—and this cinnamon sweet cocktail was the perfect compliment. Even though we’ve kissed our al fresco dinners goodbye, at least we have our spiked cider, am I right?

This looks so easy and fun! I’m normally not one for complex drink recipes because I don’t want to spend $$$ on ingredients I won’t use frequently, so I love how this doesn’t call for much. Looks delish. 🙂
