4 Kraft Paper Christmas Gift Wrap Ideas

The alternative title for today’s post could be, “if you’re type A and you know it clap your hands.”

Let’s just call a spade a spade—I’m really particular when it comes to wrapping gifts. I love how cohesive it looks under the tree when presents are wrapped in the same paper, and I especially love kraft paper. Of course, it is fun to have some variation so I generally stick to the same paper but spruce them up with different accessories and gift tags—four of which I am going to highlight today.

While I opt for plain kraft paper most of the year, around Christmas last year, I discovered this beautiful red polka dotted kraft paper in the dollar spot, and literally drove to three different Targets in the area to stock up. This year, Target offered a similar line of paper in the dollar spot that featured green and red polka dots, and I love how festive, yet classy, this look is.

ONE // the very berry method—I bought several different colors of faux berries at Hobby Lobby this fall when Monica and I were in Dallas. They came with three branches per stem, so using wire cutters, I cut them into individual trimmings and hot glued them onto packages. Easy and stunning (ly simple). I put a gold gift tag on the bottom to identify the recipient, and me as the giver.

TWO // the monogram method—Perhaps the easiest way to jazz up a present: find big gold letters to spell out someone’s initial or monogram. This one with an “m” is for my Mom, but for my sisters, I included all three letters of their monogram.

THREE // the jingle bell method—This method was so easy, and would be really fun for little kids. I took simple red and white twine and wrapped it around the box like I usually would. On the last loop around before I tied it off, I strung on some jingle bells.

FOUR // the all gold everything method—I am a sucker for all things gold, so when I saw gold glitter gift tags in Hobby Lobby on that same trip, I knew these were coming home with me. Wrap the twine around the package, and tie the gift tag on at the end. Instant holiday bling!

I absolutely love the look of using kraft paper to wrap gifts. I didn’t know they made kraft paper with designs though and I love it! The monogram idea is a really good one, I’ll definitely be using that this year

I am glad you love it, too! Yes – Target dollar spot :] They don’t sell that stuff online, but it is so easy to find, especially in November!

These ideas are great! I’ll admit, I’m not the best wrapper (guilty of excess paper on the ends at times), but I do love wrapped gifts with a little extra personality!

Yes! I am not the best either, but at my first job ever, we had to wrap gifts all the time, so I think I got better then.
