We’re halfway through the week, friends!
How is your week going?
This week is one of my busiest of the year—but in a good way. On Monday night, I said goodbye to my favorite spin class instructor, and we celebrated her new adventure with a few drinks after class. Last night, I got together with a few gals from work to send our intern off right into her senior year of college. And, tonight, we’re throwing my boss a baby shower!
Oh—and on top of all of that and my normal workload—I am moving into my new apartment on Saturday! (I get my keys on Friday and am moving a bunch of stuff I don’t trust my movers to over to my new apartment! If you know me and want to help, text me—hehe!) I am very excited for this move and spent the better part of last weekend packing up. For some reason, this move seems less stressful than my move last year—I think this is partially because I just went through this process and know what to expect, and partially because I am less attached to this apartment. I lived in my old place for three years, whereas I only lived here for 13 months.
If you’ve been here on the East Coast this week though, you know how nice it’s been. I’m completely fine with atypical August weather—as long as we get it back sometime in January and February. I was joking with a friend this week that my ideal year would be six months of summer, three months of fall, and three months of fall.
Since it’s been more mild, though, I’ve had a good excuse to wear my recent Nordstrom Sale purchases, including this Halogen Button Back Ruffle Hem Dress. Though it was sold out at the end of the sale, it’s completely restocked and I am considering buying it in the classic black, too, because I love the shape that much. I found it runs true-to-size and bought a medium. I do believe it is worth $99—at full price after the sale—since it’s good quality and can make it through a few seasons.
